Wednesday’s Inspirational Thought
Ever thought of something you wanted to do and others told you it “can’t be done?” Listening to and believing the naysayers can stop you from living your dream. Promise yourself to be bigger than that, to be an independent thinker and to act on your thoughts. Acting on your thoughts/dreams is the ONLY way you can show yourself that it “can be done.”
Too often listening to others stops you in your tracks. Taking charge and responsibility for yourself, your attitude, actions and behaviors empowers you to disregard the naysayers and live your life, your way.
Living a life that you create means you’re living a designer lifestyle!

Perception is Reality
As a child growing up, I wanted to be an astronaut. I would write NASA and get info on the space flight. I followed the America’s entry into the space race, closely following the Mercury and Gemini projects.
This was in the mid to early 1960’s. My dad, who was a brick layer and construction worker, told me that “they” would never allow a black person to fly into space. He told me that my thinking about space exploration was a waste of time.
I’m still fascinated by space flight, but I stopped dreaming that one day I would grow up to become an astronaut because my dad said I couldn’t.
Perception became my reality!!!
Hi Walter,
Thanks bunches for sharing your personal story! Many of us were given that same kind of information and were stopped before we ever really got started.
There is a lesson here for all of us.
