Thank you all so much for taking the time to complete the survey to to help my boomer friend on her first date in 20 years.  The results are in and a general consensus is:

  1. Be yourself
  2. Wear your most stunning outfit
  3. Drive yourself
  4. Meet in a public place
  5. Focus on him
  6. Be prepared to pay for your meal but allow him to pay for it if he desires
  7. Allow him to open doors and hold your chair
  8. Have no expectations or pre- judgments
  9. Be attentive, listen, smile

I shared your tips with my friend, she’s excited and thanks you for taking the time to help her get ready for her first date.  She’s been on her date.  The date went very well!  They went to dinner and she said “time flew”.  Another date is already set!  She liked his sense of humor, his ‘old world charm’ and his conversation.
