There was a commercial on TV that always caught my attention: “It’s 11:00, do you know where your children are?” Not having any children of my own, I wondered “wouldn’t parents know where their children are this time of night?” I soon discovered that many parents didn’t know where their children were and did not have a relationship with them to ask.
On the Living Smart and Well Show today, Inez Bracy’s special guest is Michelle Starkey, author of Do You Know Who Your Children Are, will address the questions of parenting and conscious parenting. Starkey says:
- Conscious Parenting is about enlightened adults engaging in symbiotic relationships with their children.
- Parents have much to learn, grow and gain from interacting with their kids.
- Conscious Parents explore these interactions and shift their perceptions about what it really means to be a parent in today’s world.
This may be quite different than last generation’s views: they literally shift paradigms and allowing themselves to evolve into more peaceful, loving and prosperous human beings. Their approach to parenting is mindful, gentle, holistic and enlightened.
You really want to listen if you are parenting now or know someone who is. The tips you will receive will help you answer yes to “It’s 11:00, do you know where your children are?”
