Yesterday I called all of my friends to chat about how beautiful the weather is here and how it felt almost like fall.  My friends are boomer women and I could hear their sighs as I went on about the temperature in the 80s with low humidity.

This morning was a far different story I shall not call anyone today to brag!  Walking out of my home this morning it felt like a sauna.  The temperature and humidity must have been in the high 90s!  I broke out in sweat almost immediately.  Could it be that my men-o-pause had hit its reset button?

While walking I decided to practice mind control and visualization.  I visualized climbing smountainssnow capped mountains on cool days as sweat rolled into my eyes.  Then I tried seeing myself walking along the beach with a cooling breeze, sweat was not to be deterred, and it rolled from my breast in streams like a river.  Then suddenly it seemed like my whole body was inflamed so sweat just rolled from and to places I didn’t even know I had (men-o-pause).

Not one to give in to unpleasantness especially when it deals with my vow to exercise five days a week, I continued my walk.  The birds were silent, no rabbits frolicked and the squirrels were in hiding.  I was the ONLY creature moving (that should have been a clue).

Finally my walk was over and I staggered into the cool air conditioning in disbelief that the outside could be so hot so early in the day.

What have you done today to stay true to your fitness goals?
