j0438815Body image has become a big factor in how we see ourselves and can cause added stress during the holiday season.  A constant refrain in our brain is “how many calories is that, or how many sit ups will I have to do, or what will my family say about the way I look, and does this dress make me look fat.”

Let’s face it, depending on our age very few of us look the way we did two or three decades ago.  YIKES!  Did I say decades?  Aging is a natural process and it’s up to us to embrace the changes and age gracefully.  Look in the mirror.  Are you frowning and finding fault with the wrinkles around your eyes, the less than tight skin around the mouth, the grey in your hair or the deeper curves at and above your waist?

Now look in the mirror again, instead of finding fault with your wrinkles, remember that each one is a reminder of the laughter you’ve shared, the skin around your mouth reminds you of the many times you’ve smiled, the grey in your hair reminds you of the storms you’ve weathered and the deeper curves shows you just how voluptuous you are and helps you to see the goddess within.

Day 29 Now for the first time, you get to decide to revise your thinking.  You’ll be surprised to learn that just by revising your thinking, embracing and loving every inch of you empowers you to be grateful and live joyously in the moment.
